It’s cold outside today. There’s still that winter bite in the air, and too much snow, even though it’s technically spring. But as anyone who lives in Edmonton knows, that just the way this time of year is. Spring has to be close, but until then, lets heat things up a little in here!
I have two opening left in April and one in May for boudoir sessions. I would love to chat with you and have you visit the studio for your session. Message me here, and mention this blog post and I even have an extra special promo just for you when you book your session!
Sometimes the most special location for family photos is the home you grew up in. Surrounded by love and memories there is nothing better. For this family, it was even more special, as the house would soon be sold, and a new chapter of everyone’s life would start. To watch this family all together, with a new generation in their home, and for them to invite me in to share it with them was truly special.
If you are looking at booking a family session for this spring or summer, you can message me here. Details about Mother’s Day mini session will be announced soon and will take place in May! Stay tuned, and if you would like to receive information about them before the general public, sign up for our Studio Insiders list here!
The littlest of three children, Miller was such a sweet baby boy when he was in the studio. I never tire of all the baby snuggles I get to enjoy when newborn babies come into the studio. It is truly the most amazing part of my job, a little side benefit. I have limited space over the next couple of months already for newborn photos. If you are in the Edmonton area, I would love to work with you, but I recommend contacting me and booking in advance so I can promise to fit you in! You can contact me here or email me directly at info (at) christywells.com.
Just over one week to go until Cassandra and Ryan’s wedding in Edmonton! It’s the start of wedding season for me and I’m so excited to kick it off with these two lovebirds and celebrate with their friends and family. Cassandra dreamt of snow for her wedding day, which if you live in Edmonton, you know right now she is going to get for sure! It is such a contrast from the warm fall evening of their engagement photos when the three of us went exploring around Whyte Ave together. I love the connection these two share, the way they laugh together and smile, you can feel the warmth of their love.
I still have a couple of spaces open for 2018 weddings. If you are looking for a wedding photographer, I would love to meet up, grab a cup of coffee and chat with you. Send me a message here and lets talk.
This stunning woman pushed me out of my comfort zone, and in doing so I discovered my passion for photographing boudoir. I can’t thank her enough. She is truly one of the most beautiful, kind-hearted souls that I know, inside and out.
I know I’m completely biased, but I think my nephew is pretty darn adorable! There is something incredibly special about being able to photograph your little sister’s babies. They hold such a special place in your heart because they are family, and then I get the joy of watching them grow up over the years. I can tell you too, I’m going to enjoy watching Caleb get into all sorts of trouble, and adventures because he is already good at that one!
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve! Can you believe it? Hopefully, you have all of your shopping done, but if not don’t worry I just finished mine late this afternoon. Last minute as always for me, and now I have a couple of late nights spent wrapping in my future! Despite all the busyness of the season though; the shopping and the wrapping and the food preparations, I hope that each of you is able to find some peace, and are able to find some time to spend with the ones you love. Maybe that’s simply sitting around the Christmas tree and snuggling up to watch your favourite movie, or maybe that’s trying to get outdoors and tobogganing or skating. It looks like Edmonton finally is getting some snow this afternoon to make it a white Christmas so that tobogganing might actually happen if you live here!
Earlier in the holiday season, I spent a morning at home with Alice and Jane! Home is where those important holiday memories are made…around your family tree, in your pyjamas, reading stories and laughing. My time with Alice and Jane was even more special because this is little Jane’s first Christmas! And, Alice is at the age where everything is pure magic. I still remember my childhood Christmas tree, but there aren’t too many photos of it for us to reflect on. That’s why an at-home lifestyle session during the holiday season, can be one of the most magical! Let’s get together and make cookies, read stories, drink hot chocolate, go tobogganing…all those wonderful Christmas traditions documented for years to come. Let’s chat.
