Over 8 years ago, they asked me to do their maternity and newborn photos. Dear friends, trusting me with their memories. Nervously I accepted, and now I’m here living my dream. It is hard to find the words to properly say thank you to them for believing in me so long ago.
Fall family photo session booking opens up June 15th for September and October dates! Make sure to stay tuned to here to blog, Facebook and Instagram, for all the promo details we will be launching with it!!
Not one, but two beautiful and amazing bundles of joy. Finlay and Isla, were so amazing when they came into the studio for their newborn photos. As a photographer, I always get a little excited when twins come into the studio, twice the love and twice the fun!
Watching my clients grow from a family of two to three, and then to four has to be one of my favourite parts of the job. Seeing the love and joy among families, and being able to capture those tiny giggles, makes my heart so happy. Through in a gorgeous spring evening, and some blossoms, and I can’t contain myself!
There is nothing more spectacular than the Rocky Mountains. Growing up, I took them for granted and didn’t really appreciate their beauty or boldness. Now, they are one of my happy places to travel too and share with my own children. For Rob and Lindsay, I know that Canmore, and the mountains, are also a place that is near and dear to their hearts. It was so special to have Ben lead the way, as we explored some of their family’s special places for their maternity photo session before they became a family of four.
I am excited to announce that I will be in the mountains for photography sessions again this summer and fall! Spaces are limited, contact me for more information.
Well, it is another beautiful cold and snowy spring day here is Edmonton! It’s hard to believe in just a few short weeks it will be warm outside and everything will be green, and of course, it will be blossom season finally in Edmonton! It only lasts for a few days each year, but they are always my favourite! I love grabbing a coffee, and driving around Edmonton and seeing the trees in bloom. Sometimes it is the simple things that bring us the most joy. Of course, I love photographing my clients in the blooms too! If you are interested in cherry blossom photos make sure to contact me in advance to secure your spot before it’s too late.
I think over the years of working with hundreds of families, one of my favourite types of sessions to shoot has become extended families! Grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins all together! There is always so much laughter and fun, and capturing so many generations together is truly something special and memorable.
To book your extended family session for this summer or fall, don’t delay, contact us today to reserve your spot.
What is the perfect family activity? Why a picnic in the park of course! The perfect, fun, mid-session snack for these little girls, packed with love by Mom and Dad. I loved travelling down to Calgary to photograph these adorable girls. The weather and the rain kept us on our toes all day and we weren’t sure the spring rain would hold off. But, lucky for us it did and we had so much fun, despite it being a little chilly!
Travel dates for 2017 family photo sessions will soon be announced! I will be heading down to Calgary as well as Canmore and Invermere, BC. Stay tuned!
Every time I hold a newborn in the studio, I am reminded of how tiny my babies once were, and how quickly they grow. I always tell new moms and dads, to simply soak in every moment and enjoy it, while their little ones are so fresh and new. As a parent we watch our kids grow, and forget too easily how small they once were. I love looking back on my own children’s newborn photos and seeing their little lips, and button noses. I’ve seen Lincoln, who was a gem in when he came to the studio, a few times since these portraits were created. He has grown and changed so much since then! If you are expecting a new baby, I would love to help you remember this time of your baby’s life too, and capture how tiny they were at the start.
One of my favourite parts about photographing newborn, is when parents bring unique items to their session, that I get the opportunity to creatively incorporate. Emma’s newborn session was extra special! Her Dad, who as you can guess loves to play hockey, brought with him, his Cape Breton tartan. It was the perfect addition to personalize this little peanut’s session, adding such a unique special touch.
If you are interested in booking a newborn photo session, don’t delay in contacting us, as spaces are booking up quickly for spring and summer babies.
